NEP 2026: Reshaping the Indian Education System

As we enter 2026, the second major phase of the National Education Policy is being rolled out across all states in India.

🌟 5 Key Changes in 2026

1. No Rigid Streams

Students in Class 11 and 12 can now "Mix & Match" subjects. want to study Physics with History? Now you can!

2. Vocational Integration from Class 6

Every student will learn at least one vocational craft like Carpentry, Electrician work, or Metalwork, through 10-day bagless periods.

3. Review of Year-End Exams

The focus is shifting from "Memory-based testing" to "Application-based testing." Semester-wise exams might replace the traditional annual board exam system in some regions.

4. 360-Degree Progress Cards

Report cards will now include self-assessment, peer-assessment, and teacher-assessment, covering holestic development across the year.

5. Multilingualism

Schools are encouraged to teach in the mother tongue or regional language up to at least Class 5, to ensure better conceptual understanding.

The future of education is becoming more flexible and student-centric! 🎓🌈
