CLAT 2026: Consortium Announces Changes in Pattern

CLAT 2026: Less is More

The Consortium of NLUs has heard the students. The CLAT 2026 paper will be more student-friendly in terms of length.

📝 The New Pattern

  • Total Questions: Reduced from 120 to 100.
  • Duration: Remains 2 Hours (120 Minutes).
  • Why? To give students more time to read and analyze the complex comprehension passages without rushing.

📚 Sectional Weightage

  1. English: 20%
  2. Current Affairs: 25%
  3. Legal Reasoning: 25% (Critical)
  4. Logical Reasoning: 20%
  5. Quantitative Techniques: 10%

📅 Exam Date

CLAT 2026 will be held on December 7, 2025 (First Sunday of December), for admissions to the 2026-27 academic batch.
